​"S.O.A.K has been instrumental in helping my family accept my daughter's diagnosis, build a support network and access various community resources. Upon initial diagnosis, I felt isolated and overwhelmed. Through attending various S.O.A.K sponsored events and joining the online support group, I quickly realized I was not on this journey alone. We were able to establish friendships with other families. We started attending events that facilitated social interactions for my daughter without fear of how she would act or if she would be accepted. We learned about various therapies and providers that could potentially help my daughter. Most importantly, S.O.A.K has helped me see that my daughter is full of potential. With some help, that potential can be unlocked and is limitless."
